Why test
Our DNA nutrient deficiency test can help pinpoint vitamins and minerals that your body may struggle to absorb and metabolise.
By looking at your DNA, you can understand your genetic risk and tailor your diet to avoid potential triggers, which might alleviate symptoms associated with some of these deficiencies such as pale or having yellow skin, unexplained fatigue or shortness of breath.
This personalised approach can improve your overall wellbeing and quality of life by helping you optimise your nutrition specific to your body.
What our customers say
I first came across MyHealthChecked after searching online for DNA Vitamin and Mineral Tests, as I was curious to see what was causing my low energy and aching joints. The test was by far the easiest and simplest that I’ve ever done - it took less than five minutes and the actual cheek swab only took 60 seconds.
I had a rough idea of what to expect but the results were quite an eye-opener for me. I learnt that for most of my life, even in the summer months, I’ve been deficient in vitamin D! For me, finding out my risk factors for vitamin D was high explained my low moods, anxiety, joint aches and never feeling at full health - despite keeping myself physically fit. Half of the other vitamins and minerals results came back as medium risk, and the rest were low risk.
Since receiving my results, I now take vitamin D, Methyl Folate and a probiotic every day and have done for the last three months, and the joint aches, anxiety and low moods have gone. My cardiovascular fitness and daily energy levels have also doubled. I actually feel fit and healthy whereas before, I’d have to exercise to feel good!
I’ll be taking these supplements for the rest of my life, as my test results have showed me there’s no amount of food or sunlight that’ll change my genetic deficiencies. However, I’m happy with that – I can easily see how much of a difference it’s made to my day-to-day health and well-being, since making these changes.
I decided to do the Vitamins and Minerals DNA Test after noticing that despite getting plenty of sleep, I was experiencing periods of low energy. The results indicated that I had a medium risk of a B12 deficiency and low Vitamin D levels - which I felt made a lot of sense! The results were presented in a report that went into lots of detail and gave me plenty of ideas for food and exercises to improve my energy levels. Since then, I've altered my diet and lifestyle to reflect these recommendations, alongside taking supplements, and I've really felt it's made a difference.
