Bhavika has worked within the science community for over 14 years, and is an experienced scientist and Technical Product Specialist. She has worked within large pharma and research organisations, and is passionate about understanding the links between genetics and cancer. Bhavika co-founded MyHealthChecked’s DNA division, and is driven by the potential to make home testing and individual guidance as accessible as possible.

Dr Nichols is a GP working in Stockport. Dave trained at the University of Manchester and has a special interest in sports and exercise medicine, for which he holds postgraduate qualifications. Alongside his work as a general practitioner, he works as a doctor for sports teams at both national and international levels. As part of his role, he works alongside both able-bodied and para-athletes.

Dave believes that improving patients’ knowledge is a key feature to enhancing health outcomes. He is committed to supporting patients to make healthier lifestyle choices.

Dr Ralston is a GP and Senior Partner at Lordswood Medical Group, and has been for 32 years. Gavin trained at Birmingham Medical School, and is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Birmingham University. Gavin is also currently Chair of Birmingham LMC, Chair of Birmingham Cross City CCG, and a Health Screening Doctor for BMI Priory Hospital, Birmingham.

Greg is a clinical professional specialising in molecular genetics and biochemical diseases in compliance with Clinical Pathology Accreditation (CPA) standards. Greg is also an entrepreneur in the world of biotechnology, and holds a PhD in Molecular Biology, is a Diplomate of the Royal College of Pathologists, and brings 8 years’ experience having worked within Clinical Science for the NHS.

Greg works closely with our laboratory team and has oversight of our accredited lab processes and systems.

Isabela is a registered Dietitian (CRN Brazil) and Nutritionist (AfN UK) with extensive expertise in Nutrition and Genetics. As the Senior Product Manager at MyHealthChecked, she plays a pivotal role in the development and optimisation of our diagnostic tests, ensuring they are scientifically robust and tailored to customer needs.

Isabela holds an MSc in Nutrition and Genetics from St Mary’s University, where her research focused on blood glucose management in non-diabetic populations, and an MSc in Sports and Exercise Nutrition from the University of Westminster, with a focus on the genetic determinants of athletic performance.

Leveraging her interdisciplinary knowledge, Isabela not only contributes to the creation of our tests but also provides expert guidance in developing the nutrition recommendations featured across our reports, ensuring they are personalised, evidence-based, and actionable for our customers.

Yiannis is a registered dietitian (HCPC) and registered nutritionist (AfN), and focused his research during his MSc in Human Nutrition and Metabolism on DNA damage and nutrition. Yiannis’  main research interest is the interaction between genetics, nutrition and chronic diseases (e.g. cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes and obesity).

Yiannis is also the Associate Professor and developer of the pioneering MSc Nutrition and Genetics at St Mary’s University, and the Head of the Nutrition and Genetics Research Group, which he created in 2015.

Yiannis’ experience in the field positions him perfectly to review all of the scientific evidence behind our health areas.
