Why test

PCOS is common condition affects your menstrual cycle and fertility. The exact cause of PCOS is unknown however it often runs in families.

Typically, symptoms do not start until after puberty. The first symptom that you may notice is changes to your menstrual cycle, with periods often becoming irregular or stopping all together. Other symptoms may include acne, weight gain, unwanted hair growth, and painful periods. It can also make it more difficult for you to get pregnant.

By assessing the levels of key hormones associated with PCOS that you have in your blood, this test will give you a better insight into whether you are likely to have the condition. Whilst there is no cure for PCOS, the symptoms can be managed effectively through lifestyle changes, and in some cases, medical treatment.

This kit alone will not give a diagnosis of PCOS, but it may help you identify that the condition is likely. This could be your first step towards taking control and finding the best way to ease your symptoms.
