Christmas opening hours

Our Customer Care team will be available throughout the Christmas and New Year holiday period.

However, our lab will not be processing every day as Royal Mail will not be delivering on key dates during this period, and these are highlighted below. Therefore, if you are travelling during the holiday period, please ensure you check our opening hours and services in the table below:

We kindly advise our customers who you are using our PCR COVID-19 testing and travelling on or before 24 or on the 31 December 2021 to follow this critical information before you look to return your sample:


Royal Mail

If you choose to use Royal Mail, please ensure that you post this via a Priority Post Box with a last collection time of no later than 12:00pm, Wednesday December 22th and/or Wednesday 28th, 2021. This is because Royal Mail will not deliver on the weekends or bank holidays immediately following those dates, and therefore our laboratory will be closed. Any sample delivered after the 23rd or 30th December will be processed after this closure, with results available on the next working day 29th December 2021 and 4th January 2022 respectively.



You now have the option to pay to send your COVID sample back to our lab via CitySprint same-day delivery, benefiting from a MyHealthChecked discount. Please be aware, this is a collection and same-day delivery service to the lab, not a priority or express service for the processing of your sample. Please visit this page for further details. Please note the days that our laboratory is closed prior to arranging your CitySprint collection and delivery.


COVID Test Drop Box

Hand delivery to Manchester - We can accept samples into the MyHealthChecked COVID Drop Box located outside our lab at Rutherford House, 40 Pencroft Way, Manchester, M15 6SZ during the days highlighted above when our laboratory is open. Please note that samples that are dropped after 12.00pm on Dec 23rd or 30th will not be processed until the next working day 29th December and 04th January respectively.

Important information:

Please note that our lab will be closed from 1st to 3rd of January 2022, therefore, if you are travelling during these dates and require a PCR test analysis, we are unable to provide this service. 

Any sample delivered during this period will enter processing on the next working day January 04th , 2022.
