MyHealthChecked will provide details on the Test Report of name, date of birth, test used, sample matrix and test result. Up to date guidance can be found for each destination, including entry requirements by visiting https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice. If your intention is to travel following a negative test result, it is your responsibility to check the travel certificate requirements of the airline destination, including the test collection time frame requirements. This may vary between 48 hours to 7 days before flying. The maximum number of hours or days prior to your flight in which your test needs to have been taken varies depending on airline and travel destination.

MyHealthChecked returns results within 24 to 36 hours upon receipt of your sample in our laboratory. Please check with the airline directly before booking your test, to confirm the correct time frame and note that it is your responsibility to administer any tests for both yourself and any dependents within this time frame.

MyHealthChecked cannot accept any responsibility or liability for any costs arising from any delay, disruption or cancellation of your travel plans directly or indirectly caused by the requirement to produce a travel certificate. Please ensure you provide accurate and airline required information upon test activation, activation details are included within the pack instructions once received.

With regret, MyHealthChecked is unable to confirm compliance according to travel specifics as these vary widely and are subject to change. We do ask our clients to take responsibility to check the travel certificate requirements of their airline and destination, including the test, collection and return timeframes prior to buying our test.

TTR – also known as the Test-to-Release for International Travel scheme – is a way to reduce your self-isolation time when arriving back in England from a non-red list country. If you choose to use it, you can take a private test (paid-for) from a Government listed provider after 5 days of self isolation, and if it comes back negative, you can stop self-isolating. As part of the scheme, you’ll also need to complete a Government Passenger Locator Form too.

Due to strict UK Government guidelines, MyHealthChecked can ONLY dispatch the test on Day 4, ready for you to take on Day 5.

Test-to-Release has specific rules about when you can take a test. You can only take a test 5 days after you get home, this is because it takes time for the virus to incubate and show on a test.

Due to UK Government rules and regulations, we're not allowed to deliver Test-To-Release kits before the fifth day of your self-isolation period in England. This is to make sure those using the scheme don’t take tests any earlier than they should, as doing this can risk undetected virus being unwittingly circulated in communities - putting people at risk.

Firstly, we’re really sorry if your Test-To-Release kit hasn’t arrived when you expected it to. Unfortunately delays in the postal service do very occasionally affect our delivery times and it may take slightly longer for us to reach you. Depending on the service in your area your kit may arrive at any time throughout Day 5 of your self-isolation too.

While you’re waiting, you should check the address and the dates on your Passenger Locator Form are correct to make sure there hasn’t been a mistake. PLEASE NOTE: In accordance with Government Test To Release guidelines, we are not permitted to deliver Test To Release kits prior to Day 5 of your isolation to ensure compliance with the strict Day 5 testing date requirement. Any delays caused by Royal Mail or third party couriers are unfortunately beyond our control.

We want to make sure your Test-to-Release is processed as quickly as possible, so you will need to ensure you select the correct option on the Activate your test page and retain the order number for activation.

Depending on when you send your sample back to us, it usually takes 24 hours to get to us via Royal Mail Tracked 24, and a further 24-36 hours for our labs to process it and notify you of your result. It can take longer if this process crosses a weekend, when most postal services are not operating.

Test-To-Release is always scheduled for delivery to you on Day 5 of your self-isolation period. You should allow at least 48 hours for your result before you can end your self-isolation period (if your test is negative).

You can only end your self-isolation once you have confirmed a negative COVID-19 test result. Until you receive your result, you must continue to self-isolate. Depending on when your sample gets back to our lab and taking into account lab closure on a Sunday, this will most likely be on Day 6 or Day 7.

Unfortunately not. Because of the specific processing, we can only release Test-to-Release tests as single units.

Yes you can. The UK Government advises booking the test before your departure but, as long as you update your Passenger Locator Form with the unique reference number we will give you, you can still get a test delivered to reduce your self-isolation period in England.

If you are cancelling your plans to return to England altogether, you can cancel your testing kit order up to 3pm the day before it is due to be shipped and we will give you a full refund.

No. Test To Release only applies to England. The Governments of Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales have different rules.

If you’re travelling from a non-red list country and are not fully vaccinated, you’re required to take two PCR tests when you get home, on Day 2 and Day 8. You’ll also be required to self-isolate at home for 10 days – unless you opt in to the Test-to-Release scheme, meaning you can take an additional test on Day 5 and end your quarantine early. Test to Release (taken on or after Day 5 of arrival into the UK) is not mandatory, however unvaccinated travellers returning from non-red countries can take a Test to Release (Day 5) test to shorten their quarantine following a negative result. Travellers not fully vaccinated are still required to take a Day 2 and Day 8 test.

Vaccinated travellers returning from non-red countries are required to test on or before Day 2 of arrival into the UK and may purchase a Day 2 only test. For unvacinnated travellers returning from non-red countries, both Day 2 and Day 8 tests are mandatory.

Day 2 and 8 testing should be purchased before leaving the UK. Travellers will be asked to provide a booking reference as part of their Passenger Locator Form.
