COVID-19 guideline for travel to Dubai

Take your COVID-19 test

All travellers arriving from the UK must take a COVID-19 pre-departure test no more than 72 hours prior departure

Check if you need a VISA

Depending on your nationality you may need to get a VISA before your arrival. Click here to find out if you need a VISA

Take a further test on your arrival

On arrival to Dubai, you may be required to take a further PCR test and quarantine until receipt of negative test result

Book your return tests

On your return, all travellers aged over 12 years must take a COVID-19 test before travelling to England

Fully vaccinated travellers must book the Day 2 PCR test to be taken after arrival. Non-fully vaccinated travellers must book the Day 2 & Day 8 PCR test packing

Complete the Passenger Locator form

Complete the UK Passenger Locator form online no more than 48 hours prior returning to England

Quarantine

Fully vaccinated travellers must quarantine in England until receipt of negative test result. Non-vaccinated travellers must quarantine for 10 days after arrival

Leaving the UK: how to prepare?

Travellers arriving in Dubai from the UK must take a COVID-19 PCR test no more than 72 hours prior to departure. Upon arrival, you may be asked to take another PCR test and quarantine until receipt of a negative test result.

No pre-departure testing is required for children under the age of 12 and for those with moderate disabilities. However, a PCR test and a quarantine period can be requested upon your arrival.

Depending on your nationality, it may be necessary to obtain a visa before your arrival. Click here to find out if you need a VISA. No application is required in advance for British passport holders.

All visitors must have international health insurance before departure.

Please note that COVID-19 entry requirements in Dubai may change at short notice. It is vital you check what’s required by your airline, and are clear on the timings before you travelling.

On your return to England

From 7th December, all passengers over the age of 12 must take a COVID-19 test before entering into England- regardless of vaccination status. Vaccinated travellers must book the Day 2 PCR test to be taken after arrival.

Travellers who are not fully vaccinated must book and pay for the Day 2 and Day 8 test packing in advance. Travellers should take the Day 2 test on or before your second day in England and your Day 8 test on your eight day after arrival. Your day of arrival in England is day 0.

Children under the age 5 to 17 years old can follow fully vaccinated rules. No COVID-19 test needed for children aged 4 and under.

Passengers must also complete the Passenger Locator form online no more than 48 hours prior travelling. Please note you will need the booking reference number for the Passenger Locator form.
